Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
CO2 Cylinder Products
We refill cylinders within the proper test date and owned by the customer. Our practice is to visually inspect each cylinder prior to refilling. All C02 cylinders are required to be inspected and hydrostatically re-tested every five years as per CFR Title 49 Part 180.205 section c. The last test month and year are stamped into the cylinder. If your cylinder still has C02 in it and it’s beyond the next test date of 5 years, you can safely finish using the remaining amount until it is empty. You can bring your out of test cylinders to leave with us and we will test it (off-site), return it, refill it and have it ready for you to pick up at a later date.
CO2 Information and Uses
Carbon dioxide is an odorless (at very low concentrations), colorless gas that is stable at room temperature. Living creatures produce carbon dioxide as a waste product of respiration, which is then utilized by plants to form food by photosynthesis. Carbon dioxide also has numerous industrial and commercial use ranging from firefighting to electronic equipment manufacture.
